Advocacy
ACE provides representation with the Florida Legislature, Department of Education, and other state and community agencies. ACE is alert to changes in legislation and works hard to ensure the survival of adult and community education programs. The ACE office keeps members informed of the happenings in the legislature via the Web site and the electronic mailing list.
Every ACE member has the option of receiving the weekly legislative update e-mailed directly to your inbox to keep informed on legislative changes as they occur. The first legislative update is provided here and as a sample to non-members to view the beginning session updates provided by ACE of Florida, Inc.
Professional Development
Credit and staff development opportunities are available through through regional seminars and statewide meetings. Learn to implement the newest legislation, to get inspiration from great programs around the state, to bring the most innovative technology and teaching methods to the classroom and much, much more. Publications
Members receive the quarterly ACE Report which is the source for adult community education news for Florida's education professionals. Members also receive the monthly "ACE Alerts" on the latest issues and events that affect Florida's adult and community educators.
Communication and Networking
Connect with other adult and community educators from all over Florida through the many workshops and brainstorming sessions such as with the Practitioner's Task Force. Join with colleagues and friends at the ACE Annual Conference, for an opportunity to network and learn in a fun/ positive atmosphere. Enjoy affiliation with other state and national organizations such as FAACE, The National Institute for Literacy and The National Community Education Association.
Members also can join the ACE Electronic Mailing List, to get news "hot off the press" and to share ideas.
